On 18-25 May 2012, a course of on-line lectures and advisory activities in the format of "Q&A" with the participation of Mark R. Prausnitz, PhD, Professor in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta for the 3rd-5th year students of the Faculty of Biology of the Perm State National University took place. The lectures aroused a great interest of the audience and wide discussion.
On 20-24 May 2012, 6th SETAC World Congress "Securing a Sustainable Future: Integrating Science, Policy and People" took place in Berlin. The Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologies was represented by Dr Svetlana V. Kleyn, PhD, Head of Social and Hygiene Monitoring Laboratory. She presented her poster presentation "Health Risk Assessment and Economic Damage Due to Environmental Pollution in a Large Industrial Centre" during a poster session.
On 22-27 May 2012, Dr Alfiya I. Aminova, PhD, DSc, Head of the Clinic, the Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologies, presented the Center’s research results at the 12th World Congress on Environmental Health in Vilnius, Lithuania with an oral presentation “Recurrent Bronchitis in Children Exposed to Irritating Substances” and a poster presentation “Hepatobiliary Alterations in Phenol- and Formaldehyde-Exposed Children”.
On 16-18 May 2012, the all-Russian research to practice conference “Basic and Applied Aspects of Human Health Risk Analysis”, organized by the Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologies, and an annual meeting of the Young Researchers Council and the professionals of the Federal Service on Customer Protection and Human Well-being took place.
