Two reports will be presented:
The XVI Congress of pediatricians of Russia with international participation "Actual problems of pediatrics" was held in Moscow from 24th to 27th of February 2012. Representative of the Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologies at the congress was Dr Alfiya I. Aminova, PhD, DSc, Head of Environmental and Hereditary Immunopathology Clinic.
On January 26, 2012, Yu. V. Koldibekova successfully defended her PhD dissertation (specialty: “Hygiene”) at the meeting of the Dissertation Council D 208.107.01 at the FBSI “F. F. Erisman Federal Scientific Center for Hygiene”. The title of the dissertation is “Hygienic Assessment of the Oxidant and Antioxidant Status in Children under Conditions of Multi-Media Exposure to Chemical Factors”.
A monograph entitled “Iodine Deficiency Diseases. Natural and Technogenic Risk Factors, Diagnosis, Correction and Prevention”, by Konstantin P. Luzhetsky, Nina V. Zaitseva and Marina A. Zemlyanova, has been published.
On December 29, 2011, A.V. Kislitsina successfully defended her PhD dissertation (specialty: “Hygiene”) at the meeting of the Dissertation Council D 208.133.01 at the A. N. Sysin Research Institute of Human Ecology and Environmental Hygiene of Russian Academy of Medical Sciences in Moscow. The title of the dissertation is “Chemical and Analytical Support of Phthalic Anhydride and its Metabolite Determination in Environmental and Biological Media for Social and Hygienic Monitoring”.
The textbook "The Sociology of Health” has taken the second place in the Publications Completion of the Russian Society of Sociologists (category: “Textbooks and Tutorial Materials”).
Professor Nina V. Zaitseva, PhD, DSc, Director of FBSI “Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologies”, was elected Fellow (Academician) of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, the RAMS Department of Preventive Medicine, as per the decision of the XXV (88) General Meeting Session held on December 7-9, 2011.

“Microneedle Technologies are the Future of Diagnostics”, a project of an international research group supervised by Professor Marina A. Zemlyanova, PhD, DSc, Head of Biochemistry and Cytogenetics Department, Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologies, and Mark R. Prausnitz, PhD, Professor in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, has received the Best Scientific Project Award in the Perm Region.
Doctor Olga A. Maklakova, PhD, presented her poster «Innovations for Bronchial Asthma Prevention in Children with Elevated Blood Levels of Heavy Metals» at the third annual Excellence in Paediatrics International Conference, which was held in Istanbul, Turkey, on November 30 – December 3, 2011.
On December 2, 2011, T.N. Yeliseeva successfully defended her medical PhD dissertation (specialties: “Hygiene” and “Obstetrics and Gynecology”) at the meeting of the Dissertation Council D.208.067.04. at Perm State Academy of Medicine. The title of the dissertation is “A Comprehensive Hygiene Assessment and the Reduction of Risks for Congenital Malformations Associated with the Impact of Environmental Factors”.
