A PhD Dissertation defended by N.V.Nikiforova

On December 12, 2017, at the meeting of the Dissertation Council D. 999.128.02, at the Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologies, N.V.Nikiforova successfully defended her medical PhD dissertation (specialty 14.02.01 -“Hygiene”).

The topic of the work is “Hygienic assessment according to the risk criteria pertaining the safety of building, finishing materials and furniture products for consumers’ health as objects of technical regulation”. The dissertation research was performed at the Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologies.

The thesis uncovers the developed classification of construction and finishing materials, referring to 30 groups of Foreign Economic Activity Commodity Nomenclature (ТН ВЭД) according to the criteria of the frequency of migration norms’ violations of chemical compounds into the environment. Classification of goods allows to perform risk-oriented supervision of chemical safety of the studied groups of products, allowing you to optimize the costs of laboratory testing.
