FIELD: medicine, toxicology.

SUBSTANCE: analyzed sample is treated with hydrochloric acid solution of 2,4-dinitrophenyl-hydrazine and hexane, hexanic solution is dried, the dried residue is diluted in eluent flow consisted of acetonitrile and water mixture at their volumetric ratio being 60 40, then aldehyde content is determined by a calibrating plot, moreover, before introducing hexane into a sample the latter should be acidified with concentrated hydrochloric acid to achieve pH = 1 -2, dilution of dried residue is carried out in an eluent additionally containing 2.0 - 2.5 wt.% glacial acetic acid and 1.0 - 1.5% diethylamine.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of detection.
