Method of diagnosing environmentally-caused pathology in population
FIELD: environmental medicine.
SUBSTANCE: most sensitive population contingents inhabitant environmentally unfavorable areas are selected. Medical and chemical examinations of their biological media are carried out to estimate levels of metals, organics, and inorganics considered as primary environmental factors in residence zone of contingent being examined. Population is subjected to clinical and laboratory investigations based on conventional indicators and then to specific investigation by determining specific health characteristics whose variations (with variation reliability at least 95%) is indicative of the effect of preliminarily detected chemicals. Correlation interdependence is established facilitating diagnosing environmentally-caused pathology.
EFFECT: increased diagnostic accuracy.
