Assessment of the health status of the population of the urban district of the city of Usolye-Sibirskoye of Irkutsk region

Specialists of the FBSI ‘for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologies’ began the first stage of the study ‘Assessment of the health status of the population of the urban district of the city of Usolye-Sibirskoye of Irkutsk region’. The work is being carried out in accordance with the ‘Action Plan of the Road Map" for the Prevention and Elimination of Environmental Pollution in the Urban District of the city of Usolye-Sibirskoye of the Irkutsk Region as a result of economic activities related to the production of chemical products’ (Decree of Government of the Russian Federation of October 29, 2020 No. 2819-p).

A special in-depth medical examination of the population living in the zones of influence of risk factors associated with the implementation of work on the territory of the industrial site includes a clinical examination for 80 indicators, as well as instrumental, functional and laboratory studies (more than 100 biomarkers). In total, about 2 million determinations will be performed.

At the next stages, the state of health will be assessed and recommendations for the ‘Program of compensatory medical and preventive measures, differentiated according to the criteria of harm to the health of persons from the most sensitive groups of the population’.
