Patent activity in 2020
During the 2020, the scientific inventions of the FBSI FSC for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologies received 41 letter patents, that exceeded the results of 2019 by 20%. More than 50 applications for inventions, industrial designs, computer programs and databases were submitted to Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) for the next year.
From year to year, the number of developments related to the diagnosis of diseases, the prediction of the risk of health damage under the influence of harmful toxicants such as aluminum, manganese, nickel, phenol, etc., is increasing. The issues of diagnostics and treatment of comorbid diseases, which are rather difficult to treat, are considered; diseases associated with the professional activity of patients, namely, with the presence of cardiovascular and bronchial disorders. At the same time, the most advanced diagnostic criteria are offered, such as genetic markers, along with traditional laboratory parameters, functional diagnostics (ultrasound, cardiointervalography) is also widely used, which allows, using non-obvious inventive techniques, to accelerate the diagnosis and, most importantly, ensure its accuracy. These inventions make it possible to predict the risk of diseases at an early stage, which will ensure the prevention and exclusion of the transition of the disease to the chronic stage.
The extensive provision of the Center's laboratories with the latest instruments and chemical equipment made it possible to develop a number of new, protected by the Russian Federation patents, methods for the determination of toxicants in biological media, water and air. In this case, the aim is to achieve the determination of even the smallest concentrations of such toxicants.
A number of the Center's developments are devoted to the study of the effect of nanoparticles on the human body, on the cells of a living organism; methods for modifying such particles have been developed.
This year the number of computer programs and databases protected as results of intellectual activity has increased. Thanks to the developed mathematical algorithms, it becomes much easier, and most importantly, more reliable and accurate analysis of the influence of harmful environmental factors on the human body.
