Participation in the Russian-Vietnamese scientific and practical conference ‘Relevant Directions and Perspectives of the Russian-Vietnamese Cooperation in Providing Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing’

the Russian-Vietnamese scientific and practical conference 'Relevant Directions and Perspectives of the Russian-Vietnamese Cooperation in Providing Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing' has been held in Moscow on November, 19-20 2019. The scientists and experts summed up the results of work within the first phase of the Assistance Program to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and fulfillment of the Russian Federation Government order dated of 19.08.2017 No. 1789-R “The provision of scientific, methodological and material and technical support to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to counter the threats of infectious diseases and the risks associated with hazardous chemicals.

The key topics of the conference were devoted to the issues related to reducing the risks of sanitary and epidemiological (biological) threats, maintaining readiness to prevent and respond to the spread of infectious diseases, and preventing non-infectious diseases associated with the impact of harmful environmental factors.

Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologies being involved in the realization of the program together with the National Institute for Food Control, Hanoi, has completed a stage of the research work on health risk assessment as the case study of chemical contamination of food products with N-nitrosamines. The report was presented by Dr T.V. Nurislamova. Dr P.Z. Shur, presented the report concerning the future cooperation.

The report about the cooperation within the framework of the Program was presented by the colleagues from the National Institute for Food Control.

In the coming weeks, a detailed discussion of the prospects for further cooperation will begin.
