Implementation of the road map program of the Russian-Vietnamese cooperation in the field of food safety risk analysis
From the 5th to 10th of August, 2018 the second visit of the scientists of the Federal service on customers’ rights protection and human well-being surveillance in Hanoi, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam was held. It was held within the framework of the order implementation of the Russian Federation Government from 19.08. 2917 No. 1789 on the provision of the scientific, methodological and logistical support to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in countering the threats of infectious diseases and risks, which are associated with hazardous chemicals.
During the visit the Framework Memorandum of Understanding between the National Institute for Food control (Hanoi, SRV) and Federal Scientific Center for medical and preventive health risk management technologies (Perm, Russian Federation) was signed.
During the previous visit in June of this year the directions for a detailed discussion on applied control methods of certain types of food products were formed. First of all, it concerns baby food.
At the seminar held in the National Institute for Food Control, scientific approaches to measurement of N-nitrosamines in food in SRV and Russia were presented. The discussion revealed the differences in the structure of food consumption of two countries, and, moreover, differences in the methods, which are used to recognize contaminants. We’ve successfully compared the methods of N-nitrosamines’ content detection in food, as well as discovered the differences between the methods, including those that are intended for sample preparation executed in SRV and Russia. We defined the list of food products to be tested for N-nitrosamines’ content detection.
The parties expressed mutual interest in continuing scientific exchange and developing cooperation.
The participation of a representative from the Federal Scientific Center for medical and preventive health risk management technologies was confirmed in the Conference devoted to food quality control, which is held in Hanoi on the 4th till the 5th of October, 2018. At the end of October 2018, a visit of the Vietnamese delegation to Perm is planned for participating in the next stage of the scientific and practical seminar.
