Investigation of the environmental factors impact on health of citizens of Bratsk

During the period from 8th to 12th of February 2016 the specialists of the Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologiesand the Department of Rospotrebnadzor of the Irkutsk region will begin a comprehensive study of the health of children and adults from Bratsk city exposed to harmful chemical environmental factors.

The work is performed in accordance with the state assignment and the agreement between Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologiesand the Department of Rospotrebnadzor in the Irkutsk Region within the framework of the pilot project "Linking violations of public health with the multimedia exposure to chemical factors in affected zone of production of aluminum and pulp and paper industry. In-depth clinical, laboratory, functional studies of the state of children's and adult health will be carried out, as well as the environment quality researches. The results will allow to drawthe conclusions about the presence or absence of effects of chemical factors on health.

The results of research will be summarized and presented in 2017.
