The guideline "Health risk assessment methodology of the population under the influence of chemical, physical and biological factors to determine the safety index of products (goods)" has been published and sent to the Governments of member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union for the practical use.
The document was developed by the Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologies, Perm, Russia, jointly with the Research Institute of Nutrition, Moscow, Russia, the Republican Scientific and Practical Centre of Hygiene, Minsk, Belarus, Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarova of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan. Proposed approaches to the products’ risk assessment have been considered and received positive feedback from the working group on product safety (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (Paris, 2014), the Codex Alimentarius Commission (The Hague, 2014), what allowed the Russian Federation to defend a number of positions on hygienic safety requirements to products within the country's entry into the World Trade Organization.
