All-Russian research and practical conference with participation of international members “Current trends in health safety and health risk assessment under the influence of the environmental hazards”

According to the plan of the basic organizational activities of the Federal Service for Customers Right Protection and Human Well-Being Surveillance for 2014, to be held on 21-23 May 2014 in Perm the All-Russian Conference with international participation “Current trends in health safety and health risk assessment under the influence of the environmental hazards” is planned. Hosts of the Conference: Federal Service for Customers Right Protection and Human Well-Being Surveillance, Federal State-Funded Institution of Science “Federal Research Centre for Medical and Preventive Technologies of Public Health Risk Management”.

Scientific aspects of the conference

1. Fundamental, application-oriented and legal aspects of the analysis of health risk posed by exposure to diverse environmental factors; harmonization with international requirements.
2. Improving the system of socio-hygienic and medical and biological monitoring, the best laboratory practices.
3. Assessment and evidence of harm to public health in the issues of the governmental control and supervision (investigation, research, expertise).
4. Predictive Medicine (Molecular Medicine) as a modern strategy for effective prevention of non-specific somatic diseases associated with environmental factors.
5. Current aspects of occupational medicine, disturbance of reproductive health workers caused by occupational and environmental factors.

Scientific conference agenda includes:

• Plenary and breakout sessions;
• Thematic roundtables;
• Presentation of posters;
• "The best work of young scientists" award;
• Training workshop "Modern methodological approaches to assessment of health risks associated with diverse environmental factors";
• Lectures by leading Russian hygienists, epidemiologists, organizers of the state sanitary and epidemiological and public health services on current issues of safety and assessment of public health risk imposed by exposure to environmental factors.

In the context of the workshop, training on current methods for assessment of health risk imposed by exposure to environmental factors will be held in accordance with methodological recommendations. After the workshop, participants will get certificates of thematic improvement.
