New Software Products, Developed by the Center Professionals, Obtain State Registration Certificates
New software products, developed by the professionals of the Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologies, have obtained the certificates of state registration for computer programs.
These software products include the Computer Workstation “The Assessment of Human Health Risk Related to Noise Exposure” (“NOISE”) and the Computer Workstation “The Assessment of Human Health Risk Related to the Impact of Lifestyle Factors” (“Lifestyle”).
<
p>The Computer Workstation “The Assessment of Human Health Risk Related to Noise Exposure” (“NOISE”) is intended for assessing and analyzing additional, aggregate, relative excess and additional excess risk and age-adjusted overall risk of cardiovascular, nervous system and hearing disorders and for calculating life expectancy reduction due to noise exposure. The method used in this program is based on solving a system of evolutionary recurrence equations, which take into account the inner interaction of systems. The parameters, which are specified in the program, include current and background noise level, the age at which noise exposure started, the duration of exposure as well as a time step (an hour, a day, a week, a month or a year). All the computation data can be exported to MS Excel.
The Computer Workstation “The Assessment of Human Health Risk Related to the Impact of Lifestyle Factors” (“Lifestyle”) is aimed at risk assessment and at calculating life expectancy reduction due to the impact of lifestyle factors (smoking, alcohol abuse, malnutrition, insufficient physical activity) on human health. Individual, population, overall and additional aggregate risk assessment is carried out at two levels, i.e. at the level of the probability for onset of a certain disease and at the level of diseases of various organs and systems.
The method employed in this second program is based on solving a system of recurrence equations, which reflect the trend of age-related accumulation of health disorders. The parameters, which are specified in the program, include the values of lifestyle factors, the age at which exposure started, the duration of exposure as well as a time step (an hour, a day, a week, a month or a year). All the computation data can be exported to MS Excel.
Every year, new software products are developed by the research team. A series of software products and databases, developed for studying the features of health and demographic processes at the population level, have been registered so far.
