Findings of the Center’s Sociological Studies on Healthy Lifestyle Issues Summarized
The Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologies conducts research on healthy lifestyle issues. In 2011, the Center professionals developed a strategy for the institution of the Federal Service on Customer Protection and Human Well-being in promoting healthy lifestyle.
Moreover, a series of empirical sociological studies were performed as part of pilot research, using a questionnaire survey. They resulted in
- a characterization of the lifestyle of individuals working under harmful conditions
- the development of a list of socio-economic (behavioral, socio-structural, etc.) risk factors posing a significant hazard to industrial workers
- the identification of objective (lifestyle, living conditions) and subjective (psychosocial well-being) social factors determining reproductive health in female subjects working under harmful conditions
The findings were presented as informational and analytical letter reports to the directors of industrial companies and to the Perm Krai Department of the Federal Service on Customer Protection and Human Well-being.
