Method of quantitative determination of chloroform and tetra-chloromethane in blood
FIELD: medicine, analytical biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method if based on extraction of chloroform and tetrachloromethane from blood sample followed by gas-chromatography analysis using method of absolute calibration. Before extraction blood sample is alkalinized with alkali solution to pH = 8-10 and extraction of chlorinated hydrocarbons is carried out with diethyl ether. Before gas-chromatorgaphy analysis blood proteins are precipitated with 10% solution of sodium hydroxide and removed from the sample by centrifugation. Method can be performed both in combined and separated presence of analyses. Invention can be used for toxicological studies in diagnosis of pathology caused by ecology factors, for example, organochlorine compounds, in biochemical laboratories, specialized units and clinical-diagnostic laboratories.
EFFECT: enhanced sensitivity and precision of determination of chloroform and tetrachloromethane in blood.
