Rare Book Exhibition “Public Health in Russia” Devoted to the 90th Anniversary of the Public Health Service Has Opened

A rare book exhibition “Public Health in Russia” opened in the conference hall of the Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologies on 14 September 2012.

Among the displayed books are reviews, articles and reports on public health in the Perm Governorate from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. You may become acquainted with, for example, “Documents to describe public health in the Perm Governorate” (1885), “Documents of the public health service of the Perm Administrative Board” for the years 1891-1892, Perm (1893), “Hygiene and Medical Practice at the Ural Plants and Works”, Saint-Petersburg (1892), an article entitled “Health Promotion in the Ural”, Perm (1933), publications devoted to the establishment of the public health service in Russia, and contemporary reports on public health.

The exhibited items have been provided by the M. Gorky Perm Region Library. The books will continue to be displayed at the library until the middle of October.
