FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves sequentially adding sodium carbonate and methyl iodide to blood sample. Diethyl ester-mediated extraction is carried out when taking extracting agent: methyl iodide: sodium carbonate proportion equal to (2.0-10.0) vol.parts (0.25-0.3) vol.parts (1.5-2.0) mass parts, respectively. The so obtained extract is heated to plus 35-40 C, held for 9-12 s at said temperature, centrifuging it and phenol concentration is determined by applying gas chromatography method.

EFFECT: high sensitivity of the method.
